Stamping A Background

Hello Crafty Friends.

It’s a sad day for me today!  My car has to have a major repair, so there is no money for new craft supplies for me this month.  It’s expensive to have a car here in DK.  The repair will cost me 4.000 DKK, witch is about 600 USD.

So of course I had to make a card to cheer me up 🙂

Perfect Tune-1

I got inspired by the sketch in CAS(E) this Sketch! #312, the inspiration for the green colors I got in  The Card Concept challenge and for the background and using this stamp I got from the Create A Smile challenge (stamp a background)

I recently started crafting again after a break for few years, so I’m sorry to say that this stamp set is one of those sets that I own that is discontinued.
It’s a stamp from Create A smile – Perfect Tunes.

First I stamped the radio image with Memento and colored it in with copic markers YG03, YG17 and g28 these colors are my favorite greens. I used warm greys also W1, W3 and W5 and fussy cut the image out.

I need a lot of practice coloring with copic markers, and I never know where to put the shadow. But I think it came out okay.

I used my Misti to help me stamp the background.  For the open hallo bubble i stamped it in Momento because I colored it in with the same green copic markers as the radio image.  For the other bubbles I stamped them twice in inks from Simon Says Stamp.  To add some more interest in the background I stamped the small circles in the set with grey ink, added foam tape at the back of the images and added some sequins.  I cut my card panel down and added some foam tape at the back to give it some dimension.
