Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge

Challenges are the best way to get the creative juices flowing..

In the “old” days I loved playing in Simon Says Wednesday Challenge and when I saw that the theme for this week was No stampes allowed, I knew that I would be challenged.

But this is what I came up with…

One of my favorite things to do is ink blending! I love my Distress Inks and how they react with water. I haven’t tried the Oxides, but I almost need to get a few colours just to try them out…

When I’m having problems with what colour I should put together. I always go on Pinterest for some inspiration, and there are MANY beautiful colour pallets.

I die cut the Butterfly Drift die and Painted Hello die from Simon Says Stamp out of Neenah Solar white cardstock, and ink blended the outline of the die and the word with Distress Ink – Hickory Smoke. For the butterflies I used the colours Abandon coral, chipped sapphire and spuned suger. I added som water to give the distress effect. I glued the outline down on my cardbase and used foam tape to give the butterflies some dimension. For the sentiment I die cut the word out of foam and glued it down as well.

I’m really pleased how it turned out. I love the pop of colours with the dark and light gray.

I hope you like it as well!
