Playing With Paint

Hello everyone!

It’s a new kind of project I’m sharing with you today.  I have been playing with Mixed Media, and this is one of my projects that I think is good enough to share with you all.

I love the black paint on all that texture, and I added some silver rub-on wax to make all that texture stand out.

Playing With Paint-1

One of my favorite Mixed Media artist is Tiffany Solorio.  She is so creative and so inspiring. And she was my inspiration for this project.

To create the texture I used cheese cloth, lace, tiny pearls, strip of card stock and some old buttons.  These are just things that I found in a second hand shop.

I painted the card with a black paint and added the cheese cloth. Then I glued all my embellishment down and painted them all in black as well.  When it was dry I added a silver rub-on wax to highlight the texture.

Maybe it is just me, but I like to make small projects.. maybe because playing with Mixed Media is new to me, and I have to admit that I am terrified of a blank “page”.  So for me it’s easier to start with a smaller “page”.

I use the Happy Planner Punch for the card, that I keep all my cards in.

There is a challenge on Simon Says Monday Challenge – Play With Paint, so I want to add this project to that challenge.  It was that challenge who also inspired me.

Thanks for visiting
