A Spring Card

Hello crafty friends and happy Monday.

I hope you all have enjoyed your weekend.

My card for today has a spring feel to it, with nothing but die cutting and soft spring colors.

The weather here in DK is awful.  Nothing but rain and windy, so I’m longing for spring.

It’s not colours I would normally put together, but I like how it turned out.

I got inspired by Holly who is a guest designer over at the  this week. And she does an amazing job, so a big shout out to her!

If you haven’t already then head on over at take a look at her beautiful creations.

So for this card I used dies and cardstock from Simon Says Stamp.  I started by die cutting this gorgeous chevron pattern a few times and glued it together.  I die cut the butterfly and ink blended it with distress inks and added some splatters of water. And die cut the sentiment out of cotton candy card stock.

I glued the darker yellow card stock down to my card base and glued the chevron die on top with tombow mono multi glue.  Glued the butterfly down as well and added some foam tape behind the wings to give some more dimension.  At last I glued the sentiment down.

So what do you think? Does this card have a spring feel to it?

I also want to enter this card into following challenges
